In this unit I learned about the importance and specifics about pronunciation and phonology. I learned how the pronunciation stress and intonation of words and sentences convey meaning. I also learned specific ways in which to teach students how to pay close attention to pronunciation and sounds in their speaking. In addition I learned the international phonetic alphabet and the specific way in which to explain, describe, and teach the sounds of the english language.
