This unit focused on coursebooks and lesson materials. It looked at authentic materials and created materials. The advantages and disadvantages of a coursebook was outlined. I learned how to use a coursebook in a way that will benefit the student. For example, omit lessons that are not beneficial, replace coursebook material with more suitable material, add extra material to reinforce a language point and adapt coursebook material to my own style .
