For some reason I found this unit to be a great deal of fun. It had also made me realize the lack of phonetic teaching in all of my language classes, aside from Mandarin. With this realization I feel that I found the source of my struggles with speaking those languages. I feel that phonetics should be taught throughout the language learning experience to actually give the students a chance of obtaining fluency.
