Course books and lesson materials were the subject for Unit 14. After a quick overview on the topic, the differences between authentic and created materials were revealed. Examples were also given for both types of materials. Course books were discussed next; the unit showed what they consist of and some of their advantages and disadvantages. Also on the topic of course books, the unit gave ideas for getting the best use out of them, as well as options for any issues with them. Finally, the unit displayed how to analyze a course book. The information should be helpful whether I get to choose a course book or have to adapt to the one given. The sample materials were also nice for ideas.
