Using authentic materials versus created materials was the topic of this unit. Authentic materials are anything a native speaker would read or hear and not designed for students who are learning english. Created materials are those designed to help non-native speakers learn English. They often supplement course books. The advantages and disadvantages of course books were given, as well as factors to consider when choosing a course book. This lesson made me eager to start looking at and analyzing course books!
