Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

Aside from the different types of external tests that students may be anticipating taking, I feel that most of the knowledge in this unit were things I already knew. Having taken both courses in french and german, I can easily recall taking all the types of tests mentioned (placement, diagnostic, progress and external). The reason for testing seems intuitive, or maybe that's just because teachers have drilled the importance of testing into our heads for years to make us more accepting of the practice. I did find the idea of different, less formal, types of testing interesting though. Perhaps my teachers used games or group work as a sort of examination of our skills without us knowing, but I don't recall ever being given a truly informal test aside from ones we took home to work on. I would be interested in learning in more detail about different ways I could give tests, especially if it's material that students may be particularly worried about. I feel like stress often makes students do poorly on tests, and it would be nice to find a way to lessen that probability.
