I now know the qualities involved in being an effective teacher. I understand that a teacher must be able to adapt their styles to each student and must have an understanding of their culture and background to do so. I also learned the different roles a teacher is able to take in the classroom and the consequences of an unbalanced share in each of these. Overall I think the most important thing is to just care about your students individually and their progress, people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
