Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit is about the importance of teaching receptive skills: how the ability to not only listen and see but to use \"our minds to literally understand words and process them with our 'pre-existing' knowledge is key to learning a new language (although not more or less important than other basic skills in language). For instance, how can a student understand the expression, \"it rained cats and dogs,\" unless she practices her receptive skills? For that, the unit focused on what is necessary to successfully teach receptive skills. The rules of usage for past tense is just as difficult to learn as those for present tense. For example, non-native speakers can easily confuse past continuous (subject+was/were+verb+ing) with past perfect continuous (subject+had+been+verb+ing). Common mistakes also arise with the use of irregular verbs such as buy/bought or catch/caught. Consequently, the teacher ought to use activities in the activate stage of the lesson that will make it easier for students to differentiate between these tenses and learn how to use them correctly.
