This unit began by reviewing nine different roles that a teacher can assume during instruction. The unit was clear that no one role is going to work in every situation so the teacher must be able to switch between appropriate roles as needed. Later the unit discussed qualities of a good student and discussed the differences between adult and younger learners. This was very helpful information for me because I have a degree in elementary education. I tend to dismiss adult learners because I don't know much about what motivates them or how they learn.
