This unit covers Teaching special groups. There are basically five categories of special groups which have been addressed in this unit. I have learnt that there are pros and cons regarding teaching any of these groups and teachers need to be aware of these differences. The skills of teachers will need to be adapted to suit the needs of the groups. Teaching young learners will pose different challenges, for example, the students attention span, as opposed to teaching business english, where the students could well be very tired after a long day at work. The dynamics of teaching one to one will be very different to teaching in a class situation, though the Speed of learning could well be faster with the former.
