It was good to return to the basic structures that we have long been out of practice with in our everyday lives as adults in an English speaking society. I am now more aware of the building blocks and the sheer complication of exceptions in our language, and will be careful in structuring class activities to help student maneuver complex exceptions and the unfortunate necessity for wrote memorization in learning the English language, particularly as a second language without the almost necessary ear for proper patterns of speech.
