I learned more about a teacher's responsibilities and roles in a class than I previously had known. I think you would normally not be aware of most of these as a student, it was good to learn about them and look back on my old school days and understand a bit more about teaching.
I've also learned more about students, the difference between age groups and what motivates them. I'm also more aware now of how many levels of understanding a student would have. I've different ideas of which groups, both age wise and understanding would be my favourite to teach. Ideally adults with an advanced level would be the easiest to get an idea across while young children learning the basics would prove difficult to keep their attention and understand concepts but I'm sure I will have different experiences and find a point that I can teach successfully and enjoy doing so.
