This section has been a challenging lesson on parts of speech where a sentence in broken up into individual words. Each word is given its own function in that sentence and, therefore, its own Name. This unit has taught me how to split up a sentence and understand each position and role of the separate words. It has also increased my vocabulary of parts of speech which I can apply to my students when teaching about grammar. This section introduces the use of tenses reminding you how a word can change depending on the sentence in which it is being used.
