As I have been teaching English as a foreign language for nearly four years now most of the content in this unit was familiar to me. However it has been fascinating learning the terminology for the roles which a teacher takes on during the classroom. I have found myself slipping into nearly all of these roles without being aware of them. This unit has helped me realize I need to take more care in planning when to use the roles rather than just using some too often and others not enough.
