Unit two is about the parts of speech. It gives a brief definition of the various parts of speech and their proper usage in a sentence. Parts of speech covered include nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, pronouns, etc. The unit explains things such as adverbs modify verbs , adjectives modify nouns, and conjunctions join two parts of a sentence. The difference between transitive and intransitive verbs is explained: transitive verbs are followed by an object; intransitive verbs do not require an object. The unit explains the differences between the various parts of speech such as subject and verb: the subject is a noun and the verb shows the action of the subject.
