This unit has encouraged me to reflect on my (future) role as an instructor and on the students I will be teaching. I have always known that a teacher has to juggle a myriad of responsibilities; I now have the language to articulate those roles. Moreover, I have considered the different situations from which my students will be entering my classroom -- in terms of who they are, what they want from my instruction, and how they approach my class.
