While studying this unit, I realized how difficult English grammar really is. To be honest, I didn't know gerunds were a thing. I can see how this would be a very difficult concept for students to grasp. I would use my struggles and learning techniques to help my students. I used flashcards to help in my study process. This unit was about parts of speech. That is, the classification of the words in a sentence according to their purpose and meaning. The unit covered nouns, verbs, articles, adverbs, adjectives, prounouns and conjunctions. The English language contains many irregular verbs and exceptions to grammar rules. Students will mostly have to learn these by heart. This lesson was quick for me because I already understood parts of speech. Thank you very much for the review, and I will make sure to store it to be able to remember some of the finer points (i.e. the difference between a relative and a reflexive pronoun). It is very concise and helpful!
