This section goes over the theories, methods, and techniques that are necessary when teaching a second language to a student. It goes over the various lesson plans that help to enable greater learning from a student as well as encourage the students to be as engaged as possible while learning a second language. In this content, I felt that most of the topics I could relate to from previous volunteering experience. The correcting technique is the most challenging one for me, because it is sometimes positive and negative feeling for me. I want all my students to have everything correct and a good experience, I don't like the disappointment look. This unit covered that there are various approaches to teaching English. I learned that there isn't one correct approach but an integration of the different approaches may be the most beneficial for the students. I also got a variety of great activities for all three stages of engage, study, and activate that could easily be transferred to the classroom.
