In this lesson I learned the first four forms of tenses in the English language. I was surprised to learn that there are actually twelve! I had always thought of there only being three; past, present, and future. But obviously the subcategories are necessary so we can distinguish the different ways that we use the past, present, and future tenses. The names of the different tenses were very confusing. This was the first quiz where I am not actually positive about a couple of my answers. The names and concepts seem so similar. When going through the lesson I tried to think about how I would explain these subtle differences to students. It is difficult to think about! I can imagine it is probably pretty frustrating for students to try to get tenses right...
