This unit covers an in-depth look at various tense systems that are used in everyday speech. In this unit, I learned bout present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous tenses. Each section also included a list of common mistakes as well as potential teaching ideas that can be used during the "activate' stage The unit informs us about several important roles a teacher has in the class, types of levels of English proficiency and the ways to evaluate it. I have learnt about the importance of taking into consideration student's local culture. I have read about the reasons students may be motivated to learn a foreign language as well. This lesson held quite the variety of random information. Most of this dealt with students' engagement in the classroom, building rapport, and troubleshooting for common issues. Much of this seemed to be common sense and other things were explained very well and I found it overall to be very helpful.
