The central focus of this lesson was to outline various methods and techniques of teaching English to L2 learners, as well as to provided an overview of various activities that the teacher can use to establish rapport both in the student-teacher relationship as well as the student-student relationship, engage the students interest, encourage understanding of the target language, and promote active use of the language that is being developed. It is useful to have such a variety of activities to draw from as the more tools you have in your toolbox, the better prepared you will be for the individual challenges students will inevitably face.
