In this unit I learned about the various parts of speech in a sentence. It started out with the basic noun and moved onto its subcategories. Next was adjectives and their role in describing nouns. I learned some of the rules regarding adding -er and -est to the adjective to make it comparative and superlative. Articles seemed simple at first with only a, an, and the, but I was shown some of the rules and exceptions that complicate it a bit. It taught me the four principle forms of verbs along with giving a list of irregular and regular verbs. I also learned about adverbs and how they add to the verb or can also modify another adverb or adjective. To finish off the rest of the unit I learned about gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions. Lot's of information.
