As a teacher just starting off my formal career I feel that a course book would be of great value to me. It would provide great structure to base off while I gathered my own personal points over the years. I think authentic materials is the heart of true learning, it's one thing to know formal English but another to understand it in practicality.I found this unit to be the most difficult - especially with the phonetic script and the understanding phonemic alphabet. It is interesting to note it but the intensity of description of it in this unit is rather overwhelming. There is also the stress on syllables, it is also interesting but at times the use of the it in the unit is overwhelming.
