Most of the information in this unit was not new to me. But it was useful to reconsider the advantages and disadvantages of coursebooks. One thing I did learn was the four techniques detailed in the course material about how to compensate for the short comings of typical coursebooks. These four techniques include: omit, replace, supplement, and adapt.Unit 14 provides very interesting information about books and materials which could be used in class and how they could be used. Also it explains how you can use created materials and course books. Advantages and disadvantages of their usage. Important thing to know is how to analyze the course book when choosing one. This unit was informative for me.
