This unit presented the two types of skills a student can have, receptive and productive, and then explained methods to help teach and practice the two types of receptive skills, reading and listening. I learned about good methods to approach reading and listening exercises, such as pre-teaching hard vocabulary the students are likely to encounter.Unit 3 follows on unit 2 in a natural way. While unit 2 looks at individual classes, and how to plan a lesson, unit 3 examines the course as a whole. Key areas in this unit cover syllabus creation, and various testing and examinations. While I'm quite happy with the information about syllabus creation, I would like to have read more about exams.
