This unit covers quite a range of topics, from learning and development theories to acquisition of L1 and L2, the learning environment, the different skill sets of young learners. The coverage is important for me to understand my students and to create effective lesson plans for them, suitable for their age, needs and skills I aim to develop in them.I think that the main thing that I have learned from this unit is that my natural instinct is almost always the wrong choice. I now have to go through the work of changing the way in which I would react in all of these possible scenarios. This unit goes over so many little nuances to classroom management that I never really thought much about before.
