Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

Modal verbs (can/should/would, etc.) add implications of possiblity, ability, formality, or obligation to sentences. Passive voice focuses more on what is or has been done, rather than on who is doing the action. Phrasal verbs are somewhat difficult to understand as a grammar point, but can be taught as vocabulary instead to make it less confusing. This unit went over teaching tools and equipment. A well-rounded school year with requires audio, visual, and textual stimulation, all of which requires equipment. Students can pay more attention when the language learning is fun, so role-play cards and movies can be useful. The tape recorder may be better replaced with an ipod or a laptop though.
