This unit reviewed four different past tenses, giving examples of how to use them and identifying some common verbs with irregular past tenses. It was helpful to see example sentences, particularly for past perfect and past perfect continuous, because it can be challenging for English learners to grasp the distinctions between these different tenses.During unit 9 I learned that authentic materials in the classroom can be more useful sometimes than a course book. Authentic materials allow students to gain more confident in the knowledge because its real. Also it allows them to gear it toward their own interests. Authentic materials are more interesting and engaging because they are actually real.
