This section was hard for me. I had a hard time grasping the direct and reported styles of speech, so I hope I did well on this test. I still don't quite understand it, more reading will be required. Also having a hard time knowing which tense is which when everything gets switched up. So confusing, but that table in the reading helped somewhat.Unit 7 provided great examples on how to teach new grammar, new vocabulary, and new language functions with the ESA structure. Assuming that my students are at mid level, I will most likely follow the patchwork structure for my lessons. Being deliberate in my lesson planning will help optimize the amount of knowledge my students acquire from it!
