This unit was a good introduction to vocabulary teaching approaches and how to structure lesson plans to accommodate the student's abilities and familiarity with the English language. Additionally it rehashed the different ESA structures which was useful for memorizing them. A very straightforward lesson that should be useful for me and the students.In this unit I learned how certain sounds are made with the mouth and what the phonemic alphabet is. As a native English speaker, it was difficult for me to have to learn an entirely new alphabet and apply it, so I gained a new sympathy for students that may endeavor to do the same, especially those who do not speak English as their native language.
