It was great learning about strategies for using a board in class, such as about avoiding writing words entirely in capital letters as that can be ineffective. The use of different colours can be an effective way to help format content written on a board. Visual aids can be very effective to help gain student attention and help generate discussion.This unit is a reflection of the “present tenses” module. The practical examples show the past tense of the various verbs, how the verbs are ordinarily used in sentence construction and the exceptions thereto. Examples are given of typical mistakes non-native speakers make. The unit also gives guidance to the teacher on how to correct it.
