This unit has really taught me a lot about how to go about teaching a new language, some methods were sort of new to me even after two years of teaching. The unit is also presented in a meticulous and very easy to understand way. The examples provided are very helpful. I cannot wait to put to use some of the techniques that I have been learning about.I have learnt from this unit how to teach three main parts of the English language which are vocabulary, grammar and functions. I know that ESA methods can easily be applied to introduce new language whereas straight arrow, boomerang and patchwork structures can be used according to what part of language the teacher chooses to focus on while teaching.
