Ben taught English in South Korea for four years before returning to his native California. In this TEFL review he describes how after returning home, he decided to seek out further qualifications in teaching English and found ITTT’s online TEFL course was the right one for him. Despite teaching English for several years, Ben found that the course had several new things to teach him including new methods and techniques.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

The tenses are a rather intermediate topic to teach. It can become quite confusing for the student. I am learning that certain units will take longer to teach than others. This is one such unit. I have been studying the tenses since undergrad and I still don't have the firmest grasp, and I realize that this is a problem area for most Americans period.I have learnt from this unit that the relationship between learners and teachers is a very important and complex issue. An enthusiastic, sensitive, motivated and caring teacher is much more likely to have successful students who enjoy their learning and continue attending classes. We can say that a 'good teacher' will most likely have 'good students'.
