Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

The content of this unit focused on the various roles a teacher takes in the classroom, different types of classroom learners and how they respond to teachers. It helped me to realize the importance of understanding a students motivation to learn a new language and how the role I take as a teacher in the classroom can impact their learning. This unit was about the conditional and reported speech in English. Studying both of these in French already really helped me to understand since the changes follow a fairly similar pattern. I particularly liked the teaching recommendations in the unit since they are not methods that I was taught with, but they sound engaging and seem fun.
