It was interesting to watch the two different lessons. The impact of the teachers relationship with his students was significant. A positive, calm classroom environment clearly led to a more effective and more organized lesson. Once the teacher appeared to slow his speech down and clarify expectations/explanations the class drastically improved. This units primary topic was about teaching receptive skills. It covered both the ways which students can learn best as well as the ways that are common for teaching these skills. I think the method for the ESA and the example in relation to this task were very well designed, i could certainly see myself participating in a lesson of this design.
