As someone studying education at university, I found this topic to be very familiar to me. What I found most useful was the example of created material as it helps me get a better idea of what activities are appropriate for the classroom. This unit covers the difference between created material and authentic material and their respective pros and cons.This unit introduced how to set up a business syllabus, how to do a needs assessment and what are the differences between the wide variety of tests that are available today. It offered a couple of interesting links to syllabus websites. It started to explain to me the difference in focus and teaching methods from the general English TEFL certification.
