This unit was very informative because it gave me an understanding of all the different teaching methods and strategies used to help students speak/learn English. I have had the opportunity to teach in my church, and in schools around the world, and without me knowing, found out my lessons plans followed similar structures to the ESA guidelines mentioned in this unit. I was also fascinated in seeing all the different activities such as bizz buzz, hangman, and word linking could be utilized to engage the students, which help make the lessons more entertaining. I believe this unit is one of the most important units in this whole course because it helps us future teachers to address the needs of our students by making lesson plans according to their levels of understanding, and interests.
