This unit described the desired qualities of teachers and students. It motivated me to cultivate these qualities because I do want what is best for my students. My job will be easier and more enjoyable if I put hard work into it. The students will return my efforts with respect and hard work themselves. I want to employ the different roles of a teacher to make class time more effective. A good mix of acting as a manager, organizer, participant and even observer allows a teacher to engage students in different ways. This can challenge them to think in different ways. Understanding the different levels of language proficiency from beginner to advanced gives a way to measure improvement and compare abilities. I hope I can use this new knowledge with enthusiasm to be the best teacher possible.
