This unit covers one of the most important tools for inexperienced teachers: lesson planning. Writing a lesson plan allows the teacher to think about the learner objectives and how to achieve them within the time of the lesson. Moreover, a plan should not be strictly followed, as some flexibility is needed to respond to the students' needs. I believe that specially for new teachers, the most difficult part regarding lesson planning is to estimate the time that each activity will take. Once again, the expected time should be used as a guide, but it should be as most realistic as possible. This unit also gives useful tips regarding monitoring the lessons.
