This unit was a great basic listing of the parts of speech that was both a refresher for me and an update of new rules. I especially appreciated the explanation of categories or order. For example, in the order of adjectives, I've made up my own way to remember it (that could perhaps be included in future manuals): the big, old, orange, furry cat. For most of the basics, of course I thought of (and sang along in my head) to School House Rocks songs. I imagined using those as a memorization tool when I have my own class of students. This unit was also a great reminder of how difficult English must be for students, since there are so many words that don't follow a general rule or are irregular. That will be something to keep in mind when sympathizing with the challenges they will face in learning grammar.
