This unit described the numerous methods used to teach someone a language. It stressed the fact that none of these methods reign supreme and that different ones may be used in different times. I learned the engage, study, activate structure of teaching and all the games and exercises you could use within each phase.It is interesting that you do not need to factor in the pronunciation of a word when selecting vocabulary. I have found myself thinking about how teachers I have had used ESA in teaching vocabulary and grammar. Teachers that I have had really used a lot of worksheets and spent a lot of time on the study part of ESA.
