This unit discussed coursebooks and lesson materials. It provided examples of created material, such as crossword puzzle, wordsearch, flashcard and role-play cards. Page 2 mentioned that these created materials can be altered, for example, creating our own crossword puzzle using resources such as www.puzzlemaker.com. This sounds like a fun lesson plan prep. I liked that pages 13 and 14 provided detailed information about course book disadvantages and advantages. I learned that it is best to incorporate a balance of authentic material and created material. I learned also that the material being prepped will always need adjustment based on the group being taught.
