This unit is about conditionals and reported speech. For conditionals it is important to understand the two clauses and how they interact in the sentence. What is the potential cause and what is the effect of that. When forming conditionals it is also important to think of the situation is the statement a fact, real, unreal, hypothetical, or a mix. Knowing this will help students decide the necessary grammar for the sentence. For reported speech it is important to consider who was talking to or about whom and reflect this in changing the tenses, time expressions, pronouns, etc as needed to keep the original meaning of the person who said it using direct speech.
