I found this unit of the present tense to be very insightful. As an native english speaker I always understood the three tenses, past, present and future. I had no idea that our english language has 12 tenses. I can understand how this must be very confusing for non-english speaking students. I appreciated the breakdown of the 4 different tenses, especially the affirmative, negative and question form. The usages section was helpful in aiding in my understanding of how important it is for me, the teacher, to fully understand, explain and demonstrate the use and structure of the english language. The activate teaching ideas will be very helpful and well used.
