The content of this unit focused on teachers, learners and how teachers can understand the different roles both they and their students play in the classroom. From this unit, I have learned the different backgrounds of students (regarding their levels) that a teacher of English/a foreign language may encounter. I have also learned why it is important to understand the make up of your classroom, because it will allow for a teacher to adapt their lessons and plans to ensure that all students are being taught at their proper level, as well as allow for the teacher to think of new strategies for their classroom's optimal learning.
