While test taking is usually painted in a negative light, this unit was helpful in identifying the specific ways that examinations can help the teachers, help the students. While small classes with one teacher might provide that teacher time to interact with all of her students and address their individual concerns, the job becomes much more difficult with a larger class. In order to be an effective teacher, one might need to use other means to understand the specific needs of a class. The unit also reminded me that for some learners it might be helpful to know the purpose of certain activities or tests, to become fully engaged.
