In this unit, I learned about course books and lesson materials. Lesson materials can be broken into two types, authentic and created materials. Authentic includes anything in English that's already published, like a book, newspaper, movie, etc. Created materials, on the other hand, are, as the name implies, created by the teacher. This allows the material to be specifically designed for the students. When learning about course books, I learned about the various advantages and disadvantages as well as the factors to consider when picking your own textbook. This unit also included some helpful links for choosing lesson materials.
