This unit taught me how differing groups of students require different approaches to teaching and the typical traits these groups show such as motivation and behaviour. The unit particularly taught me the wide assortment of techniques best used for each of these differing types of class I may find myself teaching. A few particular points this unit taught me included the fact that a multilingual class's lack of a shared native language can prove a strength by encouraging use of the English being taught to communicate. The use of a Needs analysis to help form an appropriate and relevant course for English learning business people.
