This unit introduces some of the general concepts of teaching business English including common acronyms and the types of students and teaching positions that may be encountered. The unit further explains the concept of teaching English for specific purposes which includes medical English, academic English and scientific English among others.This unit took a look at basic lesson planning and structure. It highlighted the advantages of creating a flexible lesson plan in advance, and the importance of creating a record that can be looked back on later.
