In this unit we discussed vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions. We determined some criterias to consider when selecting vocabulary to teach and what students need to know about the words we teach. We did the same exercise with the grammatical structure. We also saw which ESA lesson can be used to practice each point of study.In this unit i learned good examples of how a ELS class is done and saw some really good exercises . i also saw how not to run a ELS class by speaking to fast and starting off with material the students don't know/understand . I really like this unit because it helped paint a better picture of what i should try and do when i become a ELS teacher.
